Temporary Project Scheduler role with a State Government Department – great hourly rate and immediate start.

The Opportunity

A State Government Department is seeking a skilled and organised Project Scheduler to join their team on a temporary basis. This role is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining project schedules to support the delivery of construction and maintenance programs across the region.

Working closely with delivery teams and key stakeholders, you will ensure schedules are accurate, aligned with resource availability, and responsive to changing project demands. This is an excellent opportunity for a scheduling professional with construction experience who enjoys working across multiple projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, reviewing, and managing project schedules using tools such as MS Project
  • Preparing and maintaining schedules for current and future project pipelines
  • Coordinating resources and timelines to ensure alignment with project delivery requirements
  • Collaborating with internal teams to allocate apprentices to appropriate projects and tasks
  • Developing detailed schedules in partnership with delivery teams to support program execution
  • Creating and maintaining dashboards to track project progress, resource utilisation, and performance
  • Working closely with stakeholders to ensure consistency in scheduling approaches and reporting
  • Regularly updating schedules, resolving resource conflicts, and escalating issues where required
  • Supporting the successful delivery of construction and maintenance programs

About You

You are a detail-oriented and analytical professional with strong scheduling experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in project scheduling within a construction or infrastructure environment
  • Proficiency in scheduling tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar
  • Strong understanding of project and program delivery principles
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively under tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Current Driver’s Licence (essential)
